'Bright, Bubbly' Teenager in Station Tragedy

THE parents of a teenage girl who died after being struck by a train have paid tribute to their 'bright and bubbly' daughter.

Aaliyah Johnson, 17, died following the tragedy at East Didsbury station last month.

Emergency services scrambled to the south Manchester station on Tuesday, December 11, at around 7.40pm.

Aaliyah was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement released by British Transport Police, the teenager's family said: "On Tuesday, December 11, we lost our Aaliyah in tragic circumstances.

"Aaliyah was a bright and bubbly character, who made so many people's lives better for just being a part of it.

"She was loved by many and always lived her life to the fullest - going on her own little adventures, seeing the artists she loved perform and when she wanted to, loved spending time with family as well as friends. …
