HALIFAX. x-19s. A report by an expert panel has called on Nova Scotia's Liberal government to make rapid moves to increase the number of employees in long-term care facilities to address an "overstressed" workplace. The chair of the three person panel said today the system is overstressed. Janice Keefe says staff are frustrated the system isn't meeting the needs of residents.

Health and Wellness Minister Randy Delorey appointed the panel in September in the wake of a series of media reports that raised questions about the quality of care in the facilities, including severe bedsores.
