HALIFAX. x-20s. Nova Scotia's Progressive Conservatives are calling for the resignation of Internal Services Minister Patricia Arab after two reports slammed the government for failing to protect personal information. The personal data was scooped up when the province's freedom-of-information website was breached last year. N-D-P critic Lisa Roberts isn't calling for Arab's resignation. But she says the government needs to do more to protect privacy. Roberts says the government should support a call from privacy commissioner Catherine Tully to strengthen privacy laws.
