BURY manager Ryan Lowe stressed the importance of his side's 2-1 away win at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday as they made it five wins in a row in all competitions.

The Shakers found themselves one nil down at the break after Reece Brown's first half strike, but goals from Jay O'Shea and Nicky Maynard turned the game around.

The home side took the lead in the 28th minute, after Reece Brown attacked a loose ball in the box following Jamie Sheppard's cross and saw his shot deflected past Joe Murphy.

However, Rovers were made to rue their missed chances in the second half, as the Shakers got themselves back on level terms after O'Shea took the ball past multiple defenders and slotted past goalkeeper James Montgomery on 69 minutes.

And after their dramatic win over MK Dons last weekend, another comeback was complete seven minutes from time, as substitutes Byron Moore and Coalan Lavery worked well together in the box to find Nicky Maynard, who swivelled and fired his shot into the top left corner. …
