THE charity set up in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena attack has issued a final plea for donations.

The We Love Manchester Emergency Fund was established four days after the bombing at the Ariana Grande concert on May 22, 2017, and it has gone on to raise £21.5m to help those affected.

The money donated by the public and various organisations has been distributed to survivors of the attack and bereaved families. Donations are being accepted until Jan 31.

Edith Conn OBE, chair of the trustee board, said: "The fund, by its very nature, was always intended as a time limited charity, as an urgent response to people's immediate needs.

"We can't thank people enough for their overwhelming support for the Emergency Fund but, with the majority of the money distributed, the time is now right to scale back our work. …
