BERNARDO Silva is happy to extend his contract at City to quash any talk of him leaving.

The former Monaco star still has more than three years left on his original deal, but so essential has he become to Pep Guardiola's winning machine that Real Madrid are said to be keen on making him their latest galactico.

The Blues boss has made no secret of his appreciation for the player, declaring that the two would be together for as long as the coach remains at the Etihad.

And Bernardo is willing to follow what most of his team-mates have done in committing the best years of his career to the Blues.

He told M.E.N. Sport: "I'm happy at City and if they want to renegotiate my contract then of course I'm open to doing that.

"I'm very happy here at Man City - not only with the staff but I look around my team-mates and it is a young team that can achieve fantastic things. …
