NAT115 - (Ill-Eagles) DUNCAN, B.C. x-18s. Six adult and juvenile bald eagles on Vancouver Island have died, while six more have survived after feeding on a farm carcass that had likely been euthanized but not properly buried. Robyn Radcliffe, the executive director of the Raptor Rescue Society, says the birds began turning up in the North Cowichan area last week. She says it's believed the source has been identified but the Conservation Officer Service is investigating. ("..for everybody.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)

TAG: The birds that survived were so disoriented and dopey from the poison that they could not fly and rescuers were able to pick them up and take them for emergency treatment, but Radcliffe says all six should recover completely and be released in a few weeks. …
