Pay £50 for 'Private Jet' Luxury at Airport

PASSENGERS will soon be able to pay extra to use a new luxury terminal at Manchester Airport - with fast-track security and immigration, a chauffeurdriven ride to your flight and a 'personalised' baggage service.

Hub bosses have revealed plans to offer travellers a 'private jet experience' whether they are flying long-haul to Dubai or hopping on an EASYJET flight to Ibiza. Travellers will have to cough up at least £50 each to access the swanky facility, which is due to open this summer.

Draft designs of the new terminal, dubbed 'PremiAir', show a modern building with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the airfield.

Construction has begun on the site - which is based to the south of the three existing terminals, near the Runway Visitor Park and two minutes' drive from the M56.

PremiAir tickets will be available to all, regardless of whether they are flying economy or business class and irrespective of which airline they are using. Full pricing packages are still in the works, with details to be revealed at a later date. Likely to appeal to business passengers, honeymooners, or just those looking for a pre-flight treat, bosses say it's aimed at anyone seeking a 'luxury' start to their travels.

With secure parking on offer at the swish terminal, bosses have calculated that passengers won't have to walk further than 65ft between arriving at the door and getting onto their flight.

The experience will also be open to those arriving back into Manchester, with tickets available on both a oneway or round-trip basis.

Passengers who buy a golden ticket will be treated to: Andrew Harrison, CEO for Airport Services at Manchester Airports Group (MAG), said they were offering 'some-thing unique for all passengers'.
