A RESTAURANT and bar twice found to be employing illegal immigrants in Home Office raids has been stripped of its licence.

Government immigration teams carried out two visits to the Chadderton Bar and Grill on Middleton Road in April 2016 and August last year.

Both times they found people working there who were not legally entitled to be in the country and had no permission to work, including business partner and shareholder Rami Mourad-Foster.

The department called for a review and Oldham's licensing panel revoked the licence after a two-hour hearing.

Daniel Darlington, representing Chadderton Bar and Grill, said there had been no intention to employ people Chadderton without legal rights to be in the country and it was a series of 'mistakes.' .
