Ammies Can Build on Their Unbeaten Run Says Manager

SALFORD City manager Graham Alexander says his side can build on an unbeaten start to 2019, continued by a goalless draw at FC Halifax Town.

It is the first time The Ammies have picked up a league point at The Shay in four attempts as neither side could find a way to breach the other.

Halifax's Nathan Clarke, Scott Quigley, Matty Kosylo and Michael Duckworth were all denied by Chris Neal in the first half, while Rory Gaffney came on as a substitute and went close on a number of occasions for Salford.

A point moves Salford back up to second, however manager Graham Alexander felt a bit more quality and composure could have secured all three points to keep up the pressure on leaders Leyton Orient.

"It was a hard game, the conditions deteriorated throughout the 90 minutes but I thought we created some decent opportunities which we needed to finish off. …
