Detectives Hunting for Rush-Hour Knifeman

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during rush hour.

The 22-year-old victim was stabbed on Kingsway, on the border between Burnage and Levenshulme, on Monday evening . He was taken to hospital in an ambulance where he remains.

Police have said his injuries are serious, but they are not believed to be life threatening.

There have been no arrests and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The incident took place before 6.55pm when the road was busy with rush-hour drivers.

Det Sgt Tim Berry, of GMP's City of Manchester borough, said: "The victim is still recovering in hospital from the serious injuries he sustained in this attack, but thankfully he is in a stable condition. …
