These drumettes and flats are baked to a crisp, then tossed in a spicy, cola-based sauce that pays homage to one of Atlanta's most famous companies, Coca-Cola.

1 cup brown sugar

1 (12-ounce) can Coca-Cola

Juice of 2 limes

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 jalapenos, chopped, plus 2 jalapenos, sliced, for garnish

3 pounds chicken wings

Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a small saucepan over high heat, bring brown sugar, cola, lime juice. garlic, soy sauce and chopped jalapenos to a boil over high heat.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until syrupy, about 10 minutes.

Place chicken wings in large bowl and season with salt and pepper. Pour about half of the sauce over the wings and toss to coat. …
