More families impacted by the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy are expected to speak in court today as the sentencing hearing for the truck driver responsible for the crash continues.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu has pleaded guilty to 29 counts of dangerous driving in the crash last April that killed 16 people and injured 13 others.

Court heard yesterday the truck was covering all lanes of the Saskatchewan intersection north of Tisdale when the junior hockey team's bus struck it.

About half of 75 victim impact statements are still to be submitted. (The Canadian Press)

R-C-M-P said last week that officers have conducted nine sexual assault investigations at the Manitoba Hydro construction site since 2015 and four resulted in charges.

Hydro did not comment on the details of any investigations, but spokesman Bruce Owen points to multiple company policies and initiatives, including working with a Manitoba strategy to address sexual exploitation. (The Canadian Press)

STARS Air Ambulance says the girl was about 13 years old and was in serious, non-life-threatening condition.

The school division says the bus driver was also taken to hospital in Calgary. …
