Cavalry FC signs former England U-17 forward

Calgary's Calvary FC has signed English striker Jordan Brown.

The 22-year-old, who came up through the Arsenal academy, has played for West Ham United and Germany's Hannover 96. Most recently he was with SC Znojmo FK in the Czech second tier.

Brown has represented England at the under-17 level.

"Jordan is a really exciting player for our club and the Canadian Premier League," Cavalry FC coach Tommy Wheeldon said in a statement. "He's had an excellent development path at some respected European clubs.

"As a young player in England's U-17 team, he was highly touted as one to watch for the future and we still believe that. He's the type of centre-forward we've been looking for, a difference maker that's young, pacy and clinical with his finishing. …
