Momentum Key as City Women Bid for Glory in FA Cup Clash

CITY boss Nick Cushing insists he will field a strong side as his team play host to Watford in the SSE Women's FA Cup today (3pm).

The FA Women's Super League table-toppers are unbeaten in the league this season and ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Brighton last time out.

Their fourth-round FA Cup opponents Watford currently sit fifth in the Women's National League Southern Premier division - the third tier of women's football.

But for Cushing (pictured), momentum is key, and he is determined to get his City side into the hat for the next round.

"The FA Cup is an important trophy for us. We won it in 2017, so we want to make sure we're in the hat for the next round," explained Cushing.

"We'll play a strong team because the players deserve to play and we want to keep momentum going into the two games against Chelsea. …
