CITY look to have a crunch week in their Premier League title defence.

Pep Guardiola's side take on fourthplaced Arsenal tomorrow at the Etihad and fifth-placed Chelsea next weekend, with a trip to Goodison Park jammed between.

The Everton game has had to be moved owing to the Carabao Cup final, and bringing it forward could be seen as an unwanted addition to City's workload as they prepare to take on two of the best teams in the league.

However, should the Blues come away with maximum points from these games it will see them close the gap on Liverpool, who are away at Old Trafford on the day of the League Cup final. If the stakes are high, City's coach is counting on them being lifted again if the team perform to the levels they are capable of. And while Guardiola would dearly love the points, he reckons other teams would be put under more pressure by the way his team play rather than the points they pick up. …
