UNITED confirmed the loan departures of five young players on deadline day.

Midfielder Matty Willock, 22, will spend the remainder of the season at Crawley Town, while Callum Whelan, 20, has gone to Port Vale and Tom Sang, 19, has joined non-league AFC Fylde.

Forward Zak Dearnley, 20, will see out the campaign at League Two Oldham Athletic, while goalkeeper Joel Pereira, 22, has moved to Belgian club KV Kortrijk.

And 20-year-old centre-back, Ro-Shaun Williams, moved to Shrewsbury Town on a permanent deal.

"After 14 years at Manchester United, it's time for me to move on," Williams wrote on Instagram. "I've been at the club since I was six years old and it's been like a family to me.

"I want to say a massive thank you to all my team-mates, coaches, backroom staff and most importantly the fans for all their support over the years. …
