TAG: MacDonald became the 22nd chief justice of Nova Scotia and the chief justice of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal in 2004. The 64-year-old has spent much of his 40-year legal career presiding over court cases and encouraging his colleagues to engage and learn from marginalized communities.
