SELLA NEVEA, Italy - Canada's Kurt Oatway raced to a silver medal while Fredereique Turgeon picked up two bronze Thursday on the final day of racing at the 2019 IPC World Para-Alpine Skiing Championships.

Oatway, from Calgary, finished second in Thursday's super-G, which counted as both a stand-alone medal event and towards the super combined due to incoming bad weather. He also earned silver in Wednesday's downhill.

"I was shooting for two podiums here. I'm happy and the coaches are happy," Oatway said. "My super-G was kind of all over the place, to be honest. It was fast, but also sloppy, which didn't really give me the time I wanted, but it ended up working out in the right place, so I'm satisfied with it. …
