NAT038 - (US-Groundhog-Day) COLLEGE PARK, Md. x-08s. There are conflicting forecasts from two celebrity rodents making their Groundhog Day predictions. In Nova Scotia, Shubenacadie Sam saw his shadow this morning, which according to legend means another six weeks of winter. But Ontario's Wiarton Willie is calling for an early spring -- a prediction echoed by Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney (puhnk-suh-TAW'-nee) Phil. Forecaster David Roth at the U-S National Weather Service says Phil has been wrong a lot. ("..not very good.") (SOURCE:The Associated Press)
