Pogba Reveals He Tries to Learn from City Midfielder

UNITED'S Paul Pogba has said Kevin De Bruyne is one of the players he looks up to in world football.

The City midfielder is enduring a difficult season after two serious knee injuries but his contribution to the Blues' title-winning 2017-18 campaign was outstanding and he remains one of Europe's premium midfielders when he's on song.

Speaking in an interview with NBC, Pogba was asked who he idolised when growing up and he reeled off a list of iconic names.

"When I was younger I was more attacking so I used to watch Ronaldinho, (Zinedine) Zidane, Ronaldo, all those attacking players," Pogba said. "But now, like I said I used to look up to Yaya Toure, Abou Diaby, (Andres) Iniesta, Xavi, (Paul) Scholes, (Michael) Carrick, (Andrea) Pirlo, as a midfielder, I look at them.

"Even now I look at De Bruyne, (Luka) Modric, Toni Kroos - try to learn from them and be myself. …
