A University of Missouri-Columbia student from the St. Louis area is facing a drug charge after the death of junior in a dorm room last month.

Carson L. Latimer, 19, was charged Tuesday with delivery of a controlled substance.

Latimer sold Percocet to Boston Perry, 19, on Jan. 21, the day before Perry was found dead in his dorm room, according to charges. Perry, of Bethalto, was found unresponsive at the Mark Twain residence hall the afternoon of Jan. 22 and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Paramedics found a bottle containing Percocet, a pain reliever containing a mix of oxycodone and paracetamol, in Perry's room, according to charging documents.

A student who found Perry unconscious told detectives that he had bought a bottle of pills from Latimer the night before and that she had seen him consume several pills. …
