A JURY heard the chilling 999 call made by the dad of a seven-year-old boy who had just been shot on the family home's doorstep.

Christian Hickey and his mother Jayne, 30, were blasted in the legs after they opened the door of their home in a suburb in Winton, Eccles, on October 12, 2015.

And Manchester Crown Court heard Christian Hickey senior's 999 call following the incident.

The first 999 call was made by Mr Hickey at 9.25pm, in which he can be heard pleading with the emergency operator for assistance.

Screams can also be heard in the background.

The court heard Mr Hickey say in the recording: "I think my son has been shot.

"Please, please. Quickly please. My son has been shot he is only seven years old. Quick. I've locked the door, I've locked the door. Please send someone quickly. …
