NAT045 - (US-Measles-Outbreak-Vaccine-Exemptions) (NOTE LENGTH) (NOT FOR ONLINE USE) OLYMPIA, Wash. x-04s. Protestors gathered outside Washington State's Capitol Building Friday to oppose a bill that would take away a parent's rights to exempt school-age children from the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine. The bill comes as at least 56 cases of measles have been reported in Washington and Oregon. Both states allow non-medical exemption for vaccines because of "personal, moral or other beliefs." Kebby Johnson was protesting the bill as government overreach. ("..their bodies.") (SOURCE:ABC)
