Ferguson City Manager De'Carlon Seewood Resigns

FERGUSON - City Manager De'Carlon Seewood has resigned, according to a City Council agenda posted this week.

The agenda for the council's Feb. 12 meeting, posted online, includes a resolution authorizing the council to appoint an interim city manager while a nationwide search is conducted for a permanent replacement.

Ferguson Mayor James Knowles III confirmed Seewood's resignation and gave the Post-Dispatch the following statement:

"We were very blessed for De'Carlon to come back to Ferguson during a very difficult time and take up the task of leading our city staff," Knowles told the Post-Dispatch in a text message.

"He has helped do the difficult work of bringing this community back together and rebuilding our city staff and organization."

Seewood, appointed to the post by the council in 2015, could not be reached for comment Saturday. …
