United Pressure 'Not Easy' in First Half, Says Draxler

PARIS Saint-Germain benefited from Manchester United being unable to press as energetically in the second half at Old Trafford, according to Julian Draxler.

The PSG midfielder admitted the 'pressure was not easy' in the first half after United roared out of the blocks in the Champions League last-16 first leg tie.

But injuries just before half-time to Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard, which resulted in both being replaced before the start of the second half by Juan Mata and Alexis Sanchez, robbed United of the speed and energy they had used so well in attack.

"I think they started very well so the pressure was not easy for us but in the second half we were more confident and the pressure of Manchester United was a little bit less so that helped us to improve our game," Draxler said.

"We found some space on the pitch and we used that very well and that is why we deserved to win. …
