Kimpembe Very Fortunate to Avoid Red, Says Solskjaer

OLE Gunnar Solskjaer felt Presnel Kimpembe should have been sent off during Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League win over United.

Kimpembe was booked in the firsthalf for a cynical foul on Marcus Rashford and, with the game goalless early in the second-half, appeared to pull the United forward back inside his own half but referee Daniele Orsato did not give a foul.

French defender Kimpembe went on to score PSG's first as they secured a 2-0 win ahead of the second leg at the Parc des Princes in three weeks' time. Solskjaer accepted United were not at the Ligue 1 champions' level but was bemused that Rashford did not even earn a free-kick in the second-half.

"Yeah, very," Solskjaer said when asked if Kimpembe was fortunate to stay on the pitch. "And the way he throws Rashford down to the floor and we don't even get a foul. …
