NAT082 - (Bus-Driver-Killed) WINNIPEG. x-05s. Winnipeg bus drivers have been told they cannot display messages on the electronic signs on their buses in memory of a driver killed on the job two years ago. Winnipeg Transit officials issued a memo to drivers this morning to not display the "RIP #521" message that referred to the badge number of Irvine Fraser, who was stabbed to death by a passenger on February 14th, 2017. Union leader Aleem Chaudhary (ah-LEEM' CHAW'-dree) says there was no explanation given and his members are surprised. ("..my membership.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)
