Are you missing the farmers markets?

The Marketplace at Emerald Valley - a farm-to-table shop and eatery in Washington, Pa., beside the pavilion where the Main Street Farmers Market happens - is holding an indoor "winter edition" of the market this Saturday.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the place will host market regulars and new vendors, who will sell their wares along with Emerald Valley Artisan cheeses and other treats. Owner Alisa Fava-Fasnacht notes, "The grill will be on at The Marketplace for folks who are looking to get a bite to eat."

The participating producers are to include Heritage Craft Butchers, which opened last month near Marianna, Washington County. Co-owner Bob Von Scio says he'll be offering two different charcuterie trays - one with house summer sausage and candied pecans with Emerald Valley cheese, and a "more expansive" one with multiple salamis, coppa, lomo, bresaola and 'nduja as well as cheeses, nuts, dried fruit and grapes. …
