Opposition parties are demanding Prime Minister Justin Trudeau call a public inquiry and waive solicitor-client privilege to get to the bottom of the S-N-C Lavalin scandal.

MPs returned to the House of Commons this morning following a week-long break that saw the resignations of former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould from cabinet as well as Trudeau's principal secretary Gerald Butts.

The first order of business for the N-D-P was to table a motion calling for a public inquiry into allegations that the Prime Minister's Office pressured Wilson-Raybould to help the Montreal engineering giant avoid criminal prosecution related to business dealings in Libya. …
