Dad Battered in Front of Kids in Bus Seat Row

A DAD was viciously attacked in front of his young children after he asked a passenger to give up his seat and make room for his pram.

Jim Cattell, 43, boarded a 118 Stagecoach bus service alongside his sixyear-old son and 16-month-old baby boy in Harpurhey.

The youngest boy was in a pram and Jim asked a man sat in the area reserved for buggy users and disabled passengers if he would give up his seat.

But the man, who was dressed in an high-vis clothing, refused. Jim said the man then began swearing and cursing.

The man went to get off the bus near to the Blue Bell Inn, in Moston, and Jim said "Have a good weekend, see you later" as he passed.

But the bus passenger took offence, pulled Jim from the bus and started to attack him in front of his children.

Jim said he was wearing steel-capped boots and he was kicked in the face. …
