Tributes Paid to Man Crushed by Reversing Lorry

A MAN crushed to death by a lorry reversing into a loading bay at a city centre skyscraper has been named.

A file has been passed to the coroner following 53-year-old Lee Warburton's tragic death.

His Facebook profile has become a "Remembering" page, with tributes continuing to pour in.

Mr Warburton died after he was hit by the lorry on New York Street, in Manchester city centre, at around 9am on Tuesday.

A police investigation is ongoing.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is also probing the circumstances surrounding Mr Warburton's death.

The M.E.N. understands he was acting as a banksman as the lorry reversed into a loading bay at City Tower.

Banksmen are operatives trained to direct vehicles.

City Tower is a 30-storey office building with a number of retailers on the ground floor. …
