PPG Providing Paint for Raiders' New Home

PPG, the Downtown-based coatings producer whose name graces the Pittsburgh Penguins' home arena, is painting a new sports venue.

PPG on Monday said it has become the official brand of the Oakland Raiders, and its products will be used in the Raiders' new football stadium currently under construction in Las Vegas.

Terms of PPG's multiyear marketing deal with the National Football League franchise were not disclosed.

The Raiders' new $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat stadium is scheduled to open in 2020.

PPG is providing industrial, refinish, protective and architectural coatings for the facility near the Las Vegas Strip.

It will be fully enclosed with climate controls.

"We are honored that PPG has extended its commitment to the Raiders organization as we work toward building a new stadium that embodies the spirit and excitement of Las Vegas," said Tom Blanda, the Raiders' senior vice president, stadium development and operations. …
