ASHLEY Young said his goal celebration against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night was a sign of how appreciative he and United's players are for the support they have received this season.

The Reds looked to be in for a nervy finish at Selhurst Park after Joel Ward's diving header cut the Reds' lead in half with 24 minutes to play.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men had earlier led 2-0 thanks to Romelu Lukaku's brace and Young was responsible for restoring United's two-goal advantage with a driven shot from a tight angle in the 83rd minute.

Young and his teammates celebrated enthusiastically after the 33-year-old's strike and he praised United's travelling support in a post-match interview.

"I keep saying week in, week out they've been fantastic home and away," Young said. …
