THE M.E.N. appeal to help the families of those killed and injured in the Manchester Arena bombing has now passed £2m.

Our 'We Stand Together' crowdfunding appeal was launched in the aftermath of the atrocity, which killed 22 people.

Every penny donated will be directed into the official We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, set up by the British Red Cross and Manchester council.

The overall total now stands at more than £6m.

That staggering figure was confirmed as Ariana Grande announced a star-studded benefit gig at Emirates Old Trafford on Sunday.

The £2m mark for the M.E.N.

fund was passed yesterday after a £100,000 donation from property giant Peel Holdings. The landmark figure surpasses all other fundraising campaigns launched by the M.E.N.
