AN emotional debrief is to be held for the 300 ambulance staff who worked on the night of the Arena attack.

The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) is hoping to get the paramedics, call-handlers and office staff who were on duty on the night of the bombing together in the same room, so they can thank them for their incredible efforts.

Bosses also want to get staff together to discuss their experiences of the terror attack.

Derek Cartwright, the chief executive of the NWAS, is now appealing for a business or organisation in Manchester to provide a venue big enough to host the debrief.

He said: "We want to get everyone together - we had about 300 people working on the night - and thank them for what they did.

"We also want everybody to share their experiences with each other. …
