OLEKSANDR Zinchenko joined City in 2016, and it hasn't always been easy for the Ukrainian at the Ethiad.

Zinchenko, naturally a midfielder, was signed for a fee of £1.8m from the Russian club Ufa and as expected, the youngster found himself down the pecking order upon arrival with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Fernandinho and an ageing Yaya Toure ahead of him.

City sent Zinchenko out on loan to PSV Eindhoven to gain experience and the youngster has recently admitted it was a difficult period for himself.

"When I joined, the whole situation was that I wanted to be here all the time, but we decided (for me) to go out on loan with PSV Eindhoven" Zinchenko told mancity.com.
