RESIDENTS in a leafy Hale Barns spoke of their shock over Yousef Makki's death.

It is understood the 17-year-old victim had been visiting a friend on the night of the attack, which happened at around 6.40pm.

Yousef lived in Burnage and police are currently offering support to his family.

Around half a dozen floral tributes were left on a tree close to the scene of the fatal stabbing in the aftermath of the horrific attack. One read 'Love you bro'.

By yesterday morning, the cordon was lifted along the road, but a police car was parked up in a driveway on Carrwood, a street nearby. Another car was parked up outside the property.

Neighbours living in the affluent village said they were appalled by the stabbing.
