Heritage Valley Opens Its Biggest Outpatient Clinic Rival Ahn Building Cancer Center Nearby

Heritage Valley Health System on Monday opened its seventh and biggest outpatient center in Beaver County, a few months before the expected opening of a nearby cancer treatment center operated by rival Allegheny Health Network.

Heritage Valley's newest medical neighborhood center is located at 79 Wagner Road in Center Township, near AHN-Beaver, which is being built at 81 Wagner Road. Heritage Valley's outpatient center won't directly compete with AHN's cancer center, but the close proximity seems to be an effort to cluster medical facilities.

Completion of AHN-Beaver, which is expected to cost $20 million, was expected by midyear, a project of AHN and its corporate parent Highmark Health.

The Heritage Valley Center Township facility, which is part of the 45-acre Bluffs at Glade Path, developed by Castlebrook Development Group LLC, will consolidate services offered in other areas - including a walk-in clinic at the Monaca Walmart; and rehab, diagnostic, imaging and lab draw services from Hopewell Industrial Business Park. …
