A VICTIM impact statement from Sait's mother, Ellen Berry, read out by prosecutor Andrew Thomas QC, said: "On Tuesday August 8, 2017, our lives changed forever.

"Until this day we were a normal happy family, living out lives as one unit. Sait wasn't just my son, he was my best friend.

The sense unbearable. heartbroken will remain Ellen Sait's "Sait was adored by his young brother and sister who at age three and four have had to come to terms with the loss of their big brother.

"They still ask each day where he is and miss him terribly.

"One of the hardest things as a mother is not only to lose your child in such a callous act of brutality, but having to explain to Sait's younger brother and sister that they will never see him again, he won't be coming home, he won't be coming to the house to play games with them or read them a story - this rips me apart every day and it upsets them when they see me crying every day. …
