CALGARY. x-11s. A more than century-old Blackfoot headdress that was dropped in a Calgary thrift store bin has been returned to a First Nation east of Calgary. Alberta Justice says someone made a call to the Report a Poacher line last June about a headdress up for auction at a store in Okotoks, south of the city. An expert at the Glenbow Museum helped connect the headdress to a member of the Siksika (SIK-sik-uh) Nation who handles ceremonial items. Joanne Schmidt, the museum's curator of Indigenous studies, says she gets calls like that once or twice a month.
