PEP Guardiola says City are the 'teenagers' of the Champions League and do not feel the weight of history experienced by the establish Euro elite.

The Blues will book a quarter-final place for the second year running if they finish the job against Schalke, having a 3-2 lead from the away leg.

But even with holders Real Madrid out and the competition opening up, Guardiola refuses to accept that his team, as Premier League champions, should be among the front runners.

He said that City's relative lack of history in the tournament - even though they are in their eighth successive season of taking part - makes them underdogs.

"We could win of course and make another step but you need 20 or 30 years to try to win," said Guardiola.
