Builder Denies Threats to Cabin Crew on Plane

ABUILDER has denied making homophobic comments and threatening cabin crew on a flight to Cancun from Manchester Airport.

Scott O'Neill, 40, of Lodgewood Close, Nottingham, is accused of hurling abusive comments and aggressive behaviour towards cabin crew and passengers during the flight on September 21 last year.

Trafford Magistrates Court heard Mr O'Neill is said to have caused problems for staff consistently throughout the nine-hour Thomson flight on the Boeing Dreamliner.

At one point, Mr O'Neill allegedly made homophobic insults to a staff member. He is also said to have made 'sexually inappropriate' comments about a passenger to another person on the plane. Prosecuting, Holly Holden, told the court Mr O'Neill's behaviour became so out of hand he was given a notification of disruptive behaviour, banning him from returning back to Manchester on board a Thomson flight. …
