CALGARY - Neighbours are rallying around the family of a man who was among 18 Canadians killed in an Ethiopian Airlines crash.

A posting on the Mohogany Angels Facebook page says Derick Lwugi was a member of the southeast Calgary suburban community.

Lwugi worked as an accountant for the city and leaves behind a wife and three children.

The Angels group says he will be honoured with a ribbon campaign in the colours of black, green and red, and that funds and gift cards are being collected for his family.

An A&W franchise in the neighbouring community of Auburn Bay is donating $1 from every combo sold on Wednesday to Lwugi's family.

Owner Balwant Singh says he didn't know Lwugi personally, but saw the Mohogany Angels Facebook campaign and wanted to help. …
