Six members of an Ontario family, including two teenage sisters, are among the 18 Canadians killed in the plane crash in Ethiopia.

The girls, age 13 and 14, were travelling with their parents and grandparents.

Across the country, tributes are pouring in for the Canadians who died.

The head of the Canadian Wildlife Federation says a recent participant in one of the federation's youth volunteer programs is one of the victims.

(Terrorism-Kingston)

A youth facing terrorism charges in Kingston is due in court today for a bail hearing.

His identity can't be revealed under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The RCMP said the youth knowingly facilitated a terrorist activity and counselled another person to "deliver, place, discharge or detonate an explosive or other lethal device" in a public place. (The Canadian Press)

The Progressive Conservatives had proposed such a ban in their platform during last year's election campaign.

Government sources who were not authorized to speak publicly ahead of the announcement say exceptions would be made for when teachers want to use cellphones as part of their lesson, for medical reasons and students with special needs. (The Canadian Press)
