Two arrests made in fatal daylight shooting

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Police say two people with links to organized crime have been arrested in connection with a daylight shooting in Mississauga, Ont., that killed a member of the Hell's Angels biker gang this week.

Investigators said Thursday that a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a third person, and there may be other suspects.

"I want to assure the community that we will not tolerate this type of violence in our community," Peel regional police interim Chief Chris McCord said in a statement. "I am pleased to say two arrests have been made and both suspects are believed to members of organized crime."

Police said the "brazen" shooting took place around 11:20 a.m. Monday morning in the parking lot of a gym.

Thirty-two-year-old Michael Deabaitua-Schulde, of Mississauga, was found at the scene and died from his injuries in hospital, they said. …
