STOCKPORT County suffered late heartbreak as they missed out on a trip to Wembley, losing their FA Trophy semi-final second leg 3-2 to Fylde.

The Coasters booked their ticket to the final with a lastminute winner from Alex Reid, prompting two County fans to invade the pitch and confront the celebrating visitors.

The Hatters had taken the lead in the first half through Nyal Bell's strike from outside the area, before ex-County striker Danny Rowe equalised from the spot midway through the second.

National League Fylde then went ahead with five minutes remaining as Ryan Croasdale fired home from Zaine Francis-Angol's driven ball in, but County responded immediately with an equaliser as Ash Palmer headed home at the far post from a corner.

The Edgeley Park crowd of more than 6,000 thought the game was destined for extratime, but Reid's last-minute effort into the bottom corner broke Stockport hearts. …
