Dale's Boss to Go on the Attack as His Side Prepares for the Gills

ROCHDALE first team coach Brian Barry-Murphy has vowed to stick to an attacking game plan as his side prepare to face Gillingham in a crucial League One clash on Saturday.

Dale have taken seven points from a possible nine since their former midfielder took temporary charge following Keith Hill's departure, with the highlight being a stunning 3-1 victory over the now-managerless Scunthorpe last weekend.

Speaking ahead of the trip to Priestfield, Barry-Murphy said: "We approach any game in a positive manner. We won't be going there to defend or sit back. We believe in improving our defensive play by being attacking and being on the front foot when we can.

"They're a very good team, with different strengths to Scunthorpe, and we're very mindful of that when going about our business but we are continuing the way of playing that we want to play. …
