(Alta-Elxn-Notley)

Rachel Notley is urging small-c conservatives and undecided Albertans to vote N-D-P to defeat the United Conservatives in next week's election.

The N-D-P leader says small-c conservatives share core values with her party and not one led by Jason Kenney that would fail to protect some religions and L-G-B-T-Q students.

She also urged those leaning towards the Liberals or Alberta Party to choose the N-D-P instead to keep the U-C-P from power.

A U-C-P spokesman calls Notley's comments "just more desperate fear-mongering and lies." (The Canadian Press, CTV Calgary)
