Graham Park (Butler County) Maddox Jeffers, 5, of Cranberry caught a smallmouth bass in April in Cranberry Fishing Pond. "I got my first fish!" he screamed as he jumped into his mother's arms.

Raccoon Lake (Beaver County) Rainbows were stocked Monday. Trolling spinners worked, and trout went for various live baits fished from the dam.

Pine Creek (Allegheny County) Waters immediately above and below the Delayed Harvest Artificial Lures Only area were stocked with browns and rainbows Wednesday. Last week, Steven Sundry of Monroeville released two browns in the 14-inch range taken on nymphs near the upper end of Delayed Harvest waters.

Twin Lakes (Westmoreland County) The lower impoundment was stocked with rainbow trout May 4. Gerald Sells of Latrobe released five trout taken at the dam at dusk with an ultra-light spinning rod and silver-bladed spinning lures.

Cross Creek Lake (Washington County) A lot of smalls and a few 12- to 14-inchers took maggot-tipped jigs under floats set at about 6 feet and fished from a drifting boat.

Lake Erie and tributaries (Erie County) Lake trout were hit or miss, but some anglers caught and released dozens using trolling lures on The Mountain at 70-80 feet. Nearshore walleyes took spinners and crawler harnesses. In the bay. smallmouths went for drop-shot rigs, tubes and jerkbaits, and crappie anglers fishing grubs under bobbers found smallmouth bass instead.

Pymatuning Reservoir (Crawford County) Good-size walleye were taken over artificial structure. The Pymatuning Lake Association's annual Walleye Tournament is scheduled for May 18 at the Espyville Launch. Look for details on Facebook.

Allegheny River (Venango, Clarion counties) Good walleye and smallmouth fishing was reported from Emlenton to Lock No. 9. Northern pike and muskellunge were caught near the mouths of Redbank Creek and the Clarion River.

French Creek (Venango County) Northerns, walleye and smallmouths were taken from Utica to Franklin. …
